SE Coast of Florida Post Your Conditions From 93L

Are these storms worse than your average afternoon thunderstorm? I'm confuzzled as to why there's a thread on this.

I made a thread about this because we saw some pretty intense squalls spin south around the broad low offshore. Typically these storms move East to west this time of year but we are finding strong storms moving North to South down the coast - not typical.

Some squalls last night caused minor landscaping damage to my community in Delray Beach about 1 mile from the ocean with some weak trees that got taken down so the SE Coast of Florida in particular is feeling some minor effects from 93L

Marty's mother and sister are leaving from Ft. Lauderdale on the "Enchantment of the Seas" today.

His sister can't pass up a deal, but I was like "IN AUGUST...IN HURRICANE SEASON???"

They're going to be sailing through the Bahamas and I think the Virgin Islands. It's a 6 day, 5 night trip. They may be seeing some other islands instead...

Homestead reporting in....Today was landscaping day so, of course, it poured. Starting at about 3:30pm this afternoon, we have had constant lightning strikes, huge downpours and it is still coming down although not as heavy. Given the height of the water in the pool, we have received 3-4 inches of rain in the past 3 hours.

It is a bit bizarre out tonight for a "typical" summer night.
Seems like "The Front" moved through North to South leaving clouds to the south and west and a crystal clear North Sky section.
Clear like in the Winter

As for last night's storms, incredible lightning.

All kind of weird to me with North to South movement and any kind of a front in August....

I though this was interesting and it is somehow related to 93L i am sure. But its not everyday you see stationary tornados.

I got some rain earlier today, but nothing unusual for summer. However, last night we had the worst thunderstorms that I've seen in a long time, scores of lightning strikes hitting very close by, and very heavy torrential rain. The power went out for about an hour and a half, then flickered on and off for a couple of hours afterwards. I haven't lost power since the 3 weeks I was out after Wilma last year, so I found that very unusual.

Wow so lucky you all are we'd kill for rain here lol seems everything gose right around us here. Orlando got ripped last night we got zip. Everythings dieing here grass flowers and such. Sure hope somthing comes

I'm from Nassau, Bahamas. Lots of lightning and rain here, took the power out for 4 hours. Seems to have let up a bit from earlier.

Tavernier this evening, the most amazing outflow boundary from the north -- rolling clouds, a wall cloud, a huge wedge-foot -- very unusual to have the complex over south Florida move all the way south across Florida Bay and into the Keys. Got steady rain for about an hour, temps cooled a lot. Rained hard yesterday also. Special marine warnings went up when the squall came.

We just missed the really bad t-storms, they were to the south and east of us.

The clouds were reddish though. That was so odd-looking.

And atypically, the storm cooled things off.
