The JMA says its 1008 millibars moving slowly westward. It is centered at near 12 north/145 or so west.

I guest we always have the eastern and western pacific to watch. Heck thats a good think durning a El nino year.

Another area of interest is at 15 north/165 west. More convection.

IMO, the more interesting one is around 165E. And even though the low is around 10-15N (I believe NOGAPS analyzed a low at 12N at 12Z), the NRL page has 98W up for a location at 3.5N/164E
It looks like there might be a chance down there, but this one to the north is far more interesting.
