Is this normal?

Is this normal for it to be the middle of August and we only have ONE named storm that wasn't even a hurricane?

Gosh we forgot what a normal season is. 04 was not normal, 05 was not normal. Now, we are in a normal pattern (or so it seems normal) and we question it. LOL!! I am thankful it is normal again, whatever that may mean for hurricane season anyway. :lol:

Recent seasons:

1998

First Hurricane Bonnie on August 21st(became a major on the 23rd).

1999

First Hurricane Bret on August 20th(became a major the next day).

2001

First Hurricane Erin on September 8th(became a major the next day).

2002

First Hurricane Gustav on September 11th

Gustav 2002 was the latest "first" hurricane in the last 65 years. It would be great if we beat that record.
