DNA not a match in JonBenet Ramsey murder case... whoops

#1 Postby Brent » Wed Aug 16, 2006 3:05 pm

MSNBC is reporting right now that the family "expects" an arrest in the coming days, but also reports it was made overseas.

:?:

Hmmmm. Talk about coming out of nowhere.

Isn't Thailand a known destination for pedophiles?

Yeah... I've known of several suspects in high-profile murder cases being captured there.

I never thought this day would come but so glad it did. Poor Patsy,
never lived to see it.

This is just amazing. They said the suspect knew "aspects of the case that were not made public". I can't wait to find out who this is :grr:

If all this turns out to be case closed, I hope the people who had practically convicted Patsy Ramsey feel as stupid as is possible.

There were some disgusting things said on this and other message boards after her death.

This is a great story. There's nothing quite as satisying as justice. Both for JonBenet and her parents.

Count me in as one of the stupid then Regit. It was what it was when all this broke. She sure seemed guilty. Besides, that is bold of you to say when we do not even have any facts yet.

I'll always wonder about that handwritten note found in the Ramsey kitchen.

The Associated Press reports he is being held on unrelated sex charges, and apparently confessed to certain elements of the crime. This was the lead story on the Atlanta stations at 5(they live in the area now and JonBenet is actually buried there).

Very few statements that start with "If" are bold.

If all this turns out to be case closed,

Now if everything falls through, we'll just go back to not knowing.

A suggestion...Refraining from posting such as: "I hope the people who had practically convicted Patsy Ramsey feel as stupid as is possible".

****

Thank you very much.

I have to admit Linda that I thought the Ramsey's were guilty at first myself. But I love to watch investigative reports, and I saw a couple that made me question whether they were guilty or not. Eventually I came to feel that the parents were not guilty.

Me too. Alot of analysts said it was her handwriting. Guess we will just have to wait for more info.

Boulder DA confirms arrest in JonBenet case
File © News

Authorities have announced the arrest of a suspect in the murder of Jon Benet Ramsey, who was found dead in her Boulder home the day after Christmas 1996, according to reports on MSNBC.

By Charlie Brennan, Rocky Mountain News
August 16, 2006
A man arrested in Thailand is being held in connection with the slaying of JonBenet Ramsey, law enforcement officials said today.

Federal officials familiar with the case, who spoke with the Associated Press on condition of anonymity, said the man was being held in Bangkok on unrelated sex charges.

A source close to the case identified the suspect as one-time resident of Conyers, Ga., and said he was a school teacher.
