A hot humid 106 here today! My dad's thermometer said that and so did the one at our house. That's the hottest I've ever actually seen on the thermometer.

A cold front is moving through. Tomorrow it will be in the lows 90s.

Currently 89 degrees here. Conditions are absolutely ripe for t-storms later; nice puffy cumulus clouds are popping up.

All this heat is "burning" me out. Yesterday's high was 104°F, today is fixing to get hotter with 105°F, and more than likely hit a record high of 107°F (set back in 1951). The Dallas/Ft. Worth area is not only under a Heat Advisory, but a Level Orange Air Pollution Watch as well.

According to TXU, some North Texans will be expecting rolling blackouts if no conservation action ia taken during the peak hours. More info here.

The Love reading at 1:53pm was 101. The DFW reading was 102. Looking a lot like 103-105 today.

Kristine Kohanek had a graph early this week that shows this year will move into the Top 10(may already be there) of hottest all time summers. By the end of August, if the 100's continue this could be top 5.

Officially it was 103 today but I saw 106 on our back patio again.

Tomorrow is forecast for 103, with the record 104.

6 weeks of no rain and the brushfires have started...

Yesterday's high was 104, today's high was 101.

Yesterday as you might've known, the TXU Electric Co. was threatening rolling blackouts if no conservation action was taken, because the electric demand was high. We had some rolling blackouts back in April when temps hit 100 and above, thank goodness my area wasn't affected.

The Heat Advisory continues for my area until Sunday Night.
