Diane also made landfall on this date. And Alicia on the 18th

Like Camille, at the time it hit, Diane was the costliest Hurricane in U.S history causing 831.7 million in damage.

There are some good articles out there about Hurricane Diane. The problems caused by the flooding were incredible in some areas up there!

Alot of Record crests in the Delaware River here were set by Diane.
