Doesn't WXWXA mean training mission?

Well, you know generally the WXWXA are training missions, however, the coords do suggest that it's the return flight from St. Croix, as they are flying NW and the first ob is over PR and this one is over the SE Bahamas, though they don't quite appear to be heading north enough to make a quick flight through 93.

It's a training mission. They're at 27.6N 85.6W in the northeastern Gulf of Mexico. The latest ob (#5) puts them at 26.5N 82.3W so they're not going anywhere near the depression.

URNT10 KNHC is a non-tropical RECCO observation while the URNT11 is a tropical RECCO as denoted by the WMO headers. When the mission IDs are WXWXA or WXWXE, those are assigned as either training, engineering check-outs or transit flights where the ARWO (Weather Officer) is just getting some training time done. Anytime you see a "WXWX" mission ID, that will have nothing to do with any tasked or assigned tropical mission. However, you might see a "WX##" like "WX16A" from time to time (mostly from the NOAA P-3s) which will denote a research mission into a tropical system or tropical cyclone.
