My brother is a pro met in Beaumont...I am a wx nerd just like he is, just went into a different direction than met...

He says there's a pattern for a home grown gulf storm (bay of ca) next week...we'll see...

Sounds interesting, and I believe it! With the wet phase of the MJO moving into the Atlantic and the central Atlantic tropical wave likely about to track through the Caribbean; the stage could be set for an interesting situation in 5-15 days (not to mention all the moisture already being pulled north from S. America).

Yep...this won't be a wave dragging in....something popping up in the south bay...from there who the heck knows because we have to wait and see be he is saying there are some models showing a a little action.

LOL...believe me...it was awful...I was driving to Lafayette, La to watch Univ of Houston play Tulane (Im a UH grad)....

It's early and he (brother) gets anxious but with the start of the season next weekend (high school and college) he's not too enthused but it's a who knows, may be a ton of rain may not be anything, may do something else but he did send me a text message so I thought I would post.

Well the drive may have been awful, but if you can't find a good time in Lafayette, you ain't gonna find one (including food that exceeds anything else Louisiana or Texas IMHO).

Many disturbances this year that curve in the mid to upper like a serious storm but then wipe out.

I really meant that specifically towards this system...although I'm not too excited about TD#4 either just yet. We'll see on that one...

Hey now there were alot of folks that were not so excited about that disappating TD well east of Florida before it became Andrew.
