Hurricane Katrina and Rita

#1 Postby BreinLa » Wed Aug 23, 2006 9:48 am

Some of you know I work for a newspaper here in Louisiana. It is a weekly paper which normally deals with community issues, etc. in the Acadiana Area in Southwest Louisiana. Well today's paper is dedicated to Hurricane Katrina and Rita. I am very proud of our staff and wanted to share it with you. Alot of us had friends and relatives living with us during and after the storms. Lot's of great articles if you have the time to read them. We have not forgotten our friends in MS, ALA and Florida either...... Our Love and Support continue to go out to all of you

Bre

Thanks for the link, Bre, great layout and tastefully done. My cuz who "used" to live in Chalmette, now resides in Lafayette; so I'm sure he's perusing it. A job well done indeed.

I enjoyed those stories. Especially about the folks in Cameron Parish who were victims of the "forgotten storm". :grr: Those are good people down there in Cameron and what is left of Holly Beach.

Thanks guys, our writers worked very hard and did a alot of traveling for those stories. The last few weeks at the office were very emotional for some of them but they did what they had to do.
