weird feelings

#1 Postby storms in NC » Wed Aug 23, 2006 9:39 am

We have had a lot of rain for the passed few days and it has gave me a bad feeling about the rest of the season.I guess it is taking me back to 1999 when we had a lot of rain and dennis came and dumped a lot of rain then floyd 2 week later. I guess just going thought the flood will all way stick in my brain. But I feel that we will get a hurricane this year and dump the rain on us again. Not a good feeling at all.

So many thing happening in my life now me with broke angle and my daughter was just in a bad weack and has pins and screws in both her angles.

I am sure glad us debby's love to go fishing. But I am afraid Sept is not going to be clam. But let's hope I am very wrong.

If this was the wrong place to put this I am sorry.

Deb

I got weird feelings myself. I know it is all coincidental but the last two years we have had some really decent jubilees before Ivan and Katrina. Guess what we are having this week...jubilees.

So far this season is behaving like I want it not being in the cone and not having butterflies in m stomach like the day before Wilma hit.

Never discount instincts or intuition, these are survival traits hardwired into each of us.

I do not mean to cause any panic...but I feel strongly
about this opinion: I apologize if this does make anyone
more nervous or uncomfortable.

Your Feelings do have meteorolgical support. In 1999, there was
a persistent trough that became a focal point for heavy rain...that
same trough helped influence Floyd's motion into the Carolinas.

This year has an ominously similar set-up. A persistent trough
is bringing you heavy rains...that same trough...if it remains
in place...or nearby...and it likely will....could increase the chances
of hurricanes/tropical systems tracking close to that area.

It is due to this persistent trough that I feel the Carolinas and
Mid-Atlantic region have a higher risk of a tropical system
impact this year.

Again, the best thing that everyone can do is ensure that
everyone is prepared in case of a tropical system.

We were dry last summer, like this summer. Does that mean we will see another Katrina? I sure hope not!
