For the past few afternoons,we have been getting thuderstorms in NorthTexas. If this system heads into the GOM,conditions are right for a hurricane maker .One that could hit Texas

Actually...it's all our fault.

We are all in a large room...holding hands and chanting....

"FALL APART.....FALL APART...."

"OPEN WAVE....OPEN WAVE...."

"WE DON'T WANT TO WORK THIS WEEKEND..."

I guess that didn't work too well with Katrina, Rita and Wilma.

This is also true. If we can't laugh at ourselves, who CAN we laugh at? :P

This is uncalled for. I live on the Gulf Coast and went through Ivan and katrina. My grandmother's house was completly ruined by katrina. We went through some hard times last year. I'm not attacking anyone. The last thing in this world I want is a major hurricane hitting land.

Ok, I think I need a break from looking at the loop's, but it appears the convection is wrapping on the N and NW side, assuming the center is near 12/60.5.

Mike815, IMO it's highly likely they will find a depression...I don't see a TS coming out of this yet. The forming LLC is exposed.

Image

I took a pic posted on a previous page and drew (albeit an awful drawing) of where I THINK the LLC is, and it's a good ways west of most of the convection. Shear is possibly to blame here, as well as possibly the continued fast forward motion of the wave.

Rita was nothing like Katrina, but I lost just about everything, so did members of my family.

It's nothing fun about it so until you have lived through a NASTY one, not wise to root for a major to blow anyone's way.
