Something tells me it'll head somewhere between Mexico and Florida...

Yes, I'm being funny.

Through the Yuctan channel or across the northern Part of the Yucatan...Kind of like Emily but slightly north. Then into northern Mexico at 25 north.

I say this will get to 70 knots over the western Caribbean....Weaken to a 50 knot tropical storm over the Yucatan then back into the Gulf as a cat1=65 knot hurricane into northern Mexico.

Thats what I think.

I am going to say somewhere in Texas as well... I think the high that has been sitting over us for so long has had enough sight seeing in Texas and is ready to move on... Just a thought.. But for real, anywhere from Texas to Florida is going to get it... I can say that for sure! I think Ernesto would like some enchaladas made tex mex style...

Way to go out on a limb!

I'll say it clips the north end of the Yucatan ... not ready to speculate beyond that.

If I had to go with a path that would seem resonable at the moment but it really is too early to call.

I am not ready to make a definite guess until he is named Ernesto. I think he may do a track similar to Lili and Isidore. LA/TX border-Morgan City. But, my guess will probably change. Even though I was on the bullseye for both Lili, Isidore, Katrina and Rita days out, I am no Sylvia Browne.

My best guess at the moment is that this is going to be a Texas storm... and I also don't think it will get anyfarther east than SW LA... middle TX is a good a bet as any right now...

I think the ridge by next week will be firm in place, at least I sure hope it is

Afghanistan.

Actually, a future Ernesto would most likely head to Mexico. Or maybe Cuba.
