Naturally. And since you want some action.... :D

j/k I'd be heading to Austin with any threat, so hopefully it doesn't hit SE TX.

It will be somewhere in the GOM. In my opinion this storm could end up being another Chris. There is a lot of shear in the Caribbean for the next couple of days. At the moment I do not see this becoming a Hurricane. If it can survive some hostile conditions a long the way and DOES NOT HIT Cuba then maybe then we can see our first Hurricane in the GOM. I love to see Hurricanes form and enjoy tracking them as well but I have yet to see a storm this year that has that look to get excited about. It will only be a let down  I am afraid.

A friend in SE Fla said the local mets are saying it will miss their area, go over Cuba, and into the Gulf. With the much ado about nothing that the storms have been this season, I expect this one to vanish before it does anything serious in the Gulf. 8-)

It really is too early to tell, but if I had to place money on it I would say somewhere between Tampiaco, MX and Cameron, LA with the most likely spot being the middle TX coast.

Absolutely. The vagaries and shifts of +120 hr. modeling aside, before we start speculating on the wolf's eventual destination, we first must have a wolf.

This system will initially have to battle the dry air to the north of it, and current shear to the west of it ––and then–– possibly deal with negative effects of the TUTT in the western Caribbean. Granted, the position of the upper low could either aid TD #5's development or snuff it out, depending on where it's positioned relative to the cyclone, but first things first...let's see if it even can make it that far across the Caribbean intact.

If it survives all the apparent obstacles? Some piece of coastal real estate may be staring at some sharpening teeth come the middle of next week.

Well, with Debbie being a fish storm at least it prevented the obligatory "Debbie Does [whatever city]" jokes.

A worthless prediction - but while we're having fun I'd have say near Matagorda, TX. I've been concerned for days now the ridge placement will allow this to enter the Gulf and it would ride the western periphery. I think the usually worhtless CMC actually has a good track.

Somewhere in the GOM. Right now I am guessing between MS and FL but a lot can change from now and to that actual day.
