Foster mother holds a news conference:
http://www.wcpo.com/news/2006/local/08/22/missing.html

Also, Marcus' name has been added to a national network for missing children:
http://www.childseeknetwork.com/kids/marcus.htm

Fur - so many questions surround this case. Almost everyone I speak with wants to believe the foster parents but deep down, they fear we're not being told what actually happened. I have to agree with this concensus. Also, many believe Marcus was never at this park, in the first place. And one or both parents lost control in caring for him and something awful happened to him. I keep praying we're all wrong.

I fear something terrible has happened to this little boy. I read in the article that her husband failed a lie detector test....Why hasn't an Amber Alert been issued for him?

As soon as the story broke, I remember a reason being stated why an Amber Alert wasn't issued. Instead it was a Critical Missing Child report. I believe it was because at first everyone thought this little boy just wandered off from the mother, as she lay unconscious. Everyone thought he was somewhere in the 28 acre park and/or nearby property (some of which is wooded). In other words, this wasn't an abduction case (at first). Now it seems to be so much more. The foster mother issued more photos of the little boy today. And someone told me she and her husband receive $1500 a month each for both of their foster children. Because Marcus has a disability they receive an additional $1000. Neither parent works also (I find it odd the father isn't working). To make more money, the foster mother ran or currently runs an in home daycare.

The whole thing is fishy to me. And what I can't get past is this - why would two adults, one with bipolar and the other a heart condition, qualify to be a foster couple, in the first place? Especially to have them foster an autistic child! I'd be very surprised if they were still in charge of the other foster child. I just know if I had children at her daycare, they'd be placed elsewhere.

There are inconsistencies in the foster mother's press conference statements now. The last date she stated a case worker saw the little boy is incorrect. It was the previous week and that case worker says she was told he was sick in bed and turned away. So you have to go further back to when someone outside the foster family actually saw this little boy. A survailence camara's equipment at the park where he alledgedly went missing malfuntioned the day the foster mother passed out. So if it had worked properly, there might have been a good tape to review (it's been repaired now and is in good working order). Also, a few streets away from us, there are 2 or 3 lots on a street filled with 30 year old homes still in it's natural state - a protected greenspace. It was searched yesterday since a neighbor remembered back to hearing a young child calling out a few weeks ago. The search turned up nothing. I think the authorities are now going back at least 2 weeks, maybe even more, and going by the assumption this little boy is gone now and his body long ago disposed of. Where, who knows. The foster father also stated he did not fail his lie dectector test but rather he was told the results were inconclusive.

If you look at the entire story, there is a huge missing piece to this puzzle. And I fear the little boy is gone and whatever took place, happened weeks ago. There are all younger children in this home, none that can come forward to say they saw something.

Thanks for the prayers everyone. Unless there is a good lead in this story, I think this is all for now. The media keeps reporting the next statement or photos the foster family comes up with but if you watch these reports, you can tell they are as skeptical as the rest of us.

Thanks for the update Mary....you're right that it does not sound good. Strange about the camera not working that particular day...do you suppose it not working had been announced in some way prior to the "park visit"? .....p

I went to work today and heard more about this case. More disturbing news. The foster father has a girlfriend and she moved in with the couple. Yes, you read that correctly. Why the wife allowed that to happen is just proof this family is anything but normal or good role models for children (at the very least). Read here if you care to learn the latest, it seems as if each day we hear more and more about this case.
http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/ ... /608250360

And increasingly all fingers seem to point to the foster couple. I haven't come across anyone who believes this child was ever in the park that day. Most I've talked to, fear this little boy is already deceased and whatever transpired, occurred weeks ago. Hence, this elaborate coverup.

I've read a string of sad stories in the news today and this one is at the top of the list. Another is a sick dog was just tossed in a dumpster. Thank goodness someone rescued her and she's been named Hope (that's my dog's name). She's being cared for at an animal shelter right now. Not that a sad animal story compares to the life of a child but I swear I am about to break down in tears from all these disturbing stories of late. You really have to wonder about our society. You have to ask why would a private foster agency place a special needs child with this foster couple. Why would someone just toss a dog away, like garbage.

Sorry, getting off on tangents here I know. It's been a rough week.

Thanks for your prayers everyone. I wish the real world operated like our S2K family does. If it did, we'd be all set!

Oh dear God, how tragic is this. Is there a link to the story with more details? This is so terrible to imagine what that child went through.

News reports now say they haven't found the body yet. However, the parents are charged with his death.

I just learned of the tragic news, here on this topic. We didn't have the news on tonight. My heart is just broken over this. I am in tears. How could they just put an autistic child in a closet, for 2 days and leave town? And my God, the relatives they were visiting at this family reunion ought to be at least questioned here! If I had out of town relatives who fostered an autistic child show up w/o him, I'd be asking questions.

I want this world to be nice and sadly, it just isn't. This little boy didn't even have a chance. Not one adult individual who ever showed him true love.

Well, he's in Heaven now, that I'm certain of.

RIP Marcus Fiesel. I hope prison inmates make this couple pay for what they did. Truly I feel that way right now and it's not very Christian like but I do.

Very sad outcome...too bad foster parents are not interviewed and checked more closely. Someone told me the other day we have become a "throw-away" society...unfortunately, this little fella was ignored by two families........p :(

The police have recovered the body of Marcus Fiesel. Here's an indepth article with the latest info. God Bless our county Proscecutor Joe Deters, he was relentless in this case. As was Hamilton County Sheriff Simon Leis.

http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/ ... /308280053

My heart is just literally broken tonight. I have cried on and off all night. I'm sure we'll all cry at work tomorrow, we discussed this little boy's "disappearance" for days, since the park where he was reportedly (a lie) missing from, is within a short distance from the school where I work.

I think our entire community and town is weeping tonight.

Thank you all so much for the continued prayers on this tragic story. I wanted so much for there to be a happy outcome but I feared there wouldn't be.

This is like Susan Smith and Scott Peterson, all over again. What in the world is wrong with people?

:grrr:  This is just a horrible outcome. I knew in my heart they did something with that baby. How do you do something like that? Leave a small child with the mentallity of a 18 month old in a closet and go have a great time at a reunion? That poor baby in his last hours must have been scared to death. And obviously all 3 of the adults thought this was okay. :grrr: And they are only looking at 23 and 24 years in prison? :grrr: They killed a child, they should be put underneath the prison. This just breaks my heart and angers me. Thanks for the updates.

Rest In Peace little Marcus.

Local authorities and the news media have stated more charges are pending, so don't worry, our Prosecutor is going for the fullest extent of the law here. They'll face at least that amount of time in prison, if not more. Joe Deters was near tears when he gave his news conference yesterday (I finally saw clips last night on the 10 and 11 p.m. newscasts). He said you don't even treat a dog this way. And some have said this child must have been put into this closet before his last day(s). Our coroner said he likely passed away within the first day, of heat exhaustion so it would have been somewhat quick (if that is any comfort at all). This young boy couldn't tell anyone of the abuse he was suffering in this home. Which I think this evil couple took advantage of. Most 3 year olds would cry and a neighbor might have heard the cries. But this boy couldn't or didn't articulate well.

When I learn of more charges, I'll post them. I am hoping more arrests come today - the girlfriend, parents of this couple, especially one of the foster couple's mother who was at the bogus conference the foster mother gave last week. This Foster Grandmother was in tears herself but was in on it. Authorities have stated many family members knew of what happened.
