But why isn't there anymore in the Pacific?
I recall strong TC's such as Gilma, John, Tip, etc. were measured by recon, why not now? Ioke is a very good candidate for recon, but I don't think they flew a plane in.
Is it because of money or something. I'm sure either Senorpepr or Aslkahuna would have the answer, but anybody may chime in.
I've looked thru the Ioke thread, did not find this question.

Undoubtedly, it was felt that going to satellite recon in the Pacific was more cost effective though someone who was in Air Weather Circus (as we called it) at the time the decision was made could explain as I thought it was stupid at the time-but then again most Government decisions are .
