I posted this in the sports forum but this needs to be seen. I have to admit, I got VERY choked up at the 18th hole when Tom Watson and his caddy Bruce Edwards finished, brought a tear to ol snowmans eye, Tom IMHO, WAS *THE* top player at this years U.S. Open.........May God touch and Heal Bruce!

Tom's shown a lot of class ever since Bruce was dianosed with ALS. He's paying all of Bruce's medical bills. They've been together for around 30 years. A real team in every sense of the word!

I wish they would of won. It would of been a nice story. But, it is nonetheless.

I hope he gets healed. :)

I did not know about Tom Watson's caddy. I did hear that he was a leader if not the leader on Thursday or Friday. I was happy for him!

I'm sorry to hear about Bruce. Tom is a very generous, caring guy.

I didn't watch the tournament, but I read the articles purtaining to Tom Watson and his caddy Bruce Edwards. Very sedimental ending. It reminded me of Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. Mitch's college psych teacher had ALS was pass away with Mitch at his side. Awesome book!!!

Yes indeed, ya know, it's a cryin' shame that the younger sportsmen, say like Tiger Woods, Micheal Jordan etc, etc don't have the honor and respect towards their fellow man and other sports figures like Tom Watson does......he's a very compassionate man.

I don't know if I'd agree with you on Tiger. He does a whole lot of charitable work and is a huge sponsor of youth golf programs. He isn't real public about it but goes out of his way to help sponsor youth programs both monitarily and personally. His respect of history and golf's legends is also very well know. All in all he is one of the good guys without a doubt! JMHO
