Well guys I guess I'm off

#1 Postby OtherHD » Sun Jun 15, 2003 2:04 pm

Some of you know that today I'll be leaving for College Station to go to a Texas A&M Honors Program. We'll be doing mock lectures and a master lecture on Shakespeare...I'll probably be mock sleeping during that ;). I'll be staying in a dorm overnight, to get a feel of college life. I think it'll be a lot of fun (except for the Shakespeare lecture...ugh) and a great experience. I won't be back until Tuesday evening. So with that, I'll bid y'all farewell...HD's goin' to college! 8-)

Have fun! Don't feel bad about Shakespeare: he's one of those authors everyone quotes and talks about but hates to read (at least that's me). I've never completely read a Shakespeare play in my life (got to within a small number of pages of the end a couple of times, but just didn't have the steam to finish it off), though I imagine it will happen eventually.

Make it a great experience.

A wise teacher of mine once said...."Education is the sum total of all your experiences!" That means, of course, that whatever happens there you will learn something.

Wish you the best.

Enjoy it HD. I guess I am in the minority when I say that I enjoy Shakespeare. I was Peter Quince in A MidSummer Night's Dream and enjoyed Much Ado About Nothing. Romeo and Juliet is a little boring IMO. Many of Shakespeare's others are much better.

We are expecting a full report when you get back HD! :)
