Ever got a Special Weather Statement for this?

#1 Postby southerngale » Wed Aug 30, 2006 9:13 pm

I guess you know you've had plenty of bad weather and hot temps that when the weather is actually nice, they issue a Special Weather Statement! Image

We sure deserve a few days of nice weather though.

...PLEASANT WEATHER THIS WEEK BEFORE A POSSIBLE WET LABOR DAY...

A COLD FRONT THAT MOVED THROUGH SOUTHEAST TEXAS AND SOUTHERN
LOUISIANA TODAY HAS BROUGHT VERY COMFORTABLE WEATHER TO THE
REGION...WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES ONLY IN THE UPPER 80S AND VERY
LOW HUMIDITIES.

THIS PLEASANT WEATHER IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH THE
WEEK. AFTERNOON HIGHS WILL REMAIN AROUND AVERAGE IN THE LOWER
90S...BUT OVERNIGHT LOWS WILL DROP BELOW AVERAGE INTO THE MIDDLE
TO UPPER 60S. CONTINUED LOW HUMIDITIES WILL MAKE IT FEEL VERY
COMFORTABLE OUTDOORS.

FROM SUNDAY AND LABOR DAY INTO THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK...
HUMIDITY LEVELS WILL BEGIN INCREASING ACROSS THE AREA. THIS WILL
MAKE OUTSIDE CONDITIONS FEEL MUCH MORE HUMID THAN IN PREVIOUS
DAYS...AND ALSO BRING AN INCREASING CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS.

INDIVIDUALS WITH OUTDOOR PLANS FOR THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND SHOULD
CONTINUE TO MONITOR NOAA WEATHER RADIO AND LOCAL WEATHER FORECASTS
ABOUT THE POTENTIAL FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TOWARDS THE END
OF THE LABOR DAY WEEKEND.

Haha. That's cool.

It felt wonderful today here in NW Misssissippi! 60s to start out and mid 80s with a nice breeze. It felt sooo good after the heat this summer.

I remember back in 2000, TWC was scrolling a message that says "No hazardous weather is expected today or tonight" everyday.
