How many hunt for food here?

I still do, not as much as I used to, I mainly hunt birds now, quail, dove, duck, grouse....I haven't put any deer or elk in my freezer in 3 years now. My nephew is a guide on the Fort Apache Indian Rezervation and he brings me ALL the meat we need.

I consider myself a modern day hunter gatherer. My family would agree because I definitely forage in the kitchen when I come down.

I've never shot at a quadruped though, something I mean to do later in life.

I have never hunted but Joe (hubby) has. He got a caribou when he was 14 and that pretty much hooked him. He doesn't have the time now.

Hey, I just remembered, we still have the hide! 8-)

I hate hunting. I feel so bad when the animals die.

My dad and brother hunt all the time though. Everyone in my town does. Actually, they're dove hunting right now.

if you are a good hunter, you try to kill them as quickly as possible by placing your shot correctly...
