Perhaps the NHC still considers it possible that there are hurricane force winds somewhere in the system that hasn't been sampled yet.

The lowest pressure I can find now is at CW5374 station between Oak Island and Caswell beach - 987.4 mb winds E 7 G 21

Just had a tornado go by I think. The dog freaked out and then the emergency radio went off about a warning in the town and it got really really windy. Stay safe all.

it is just an incredibly frustrating storm in general...luckily it did no damage in our area and heck i hope it goes straight out to sea...just can't believe all the tricks this E guy has

His fourth attempt at landfall... at last... he looks like something to worry about. I wonder as has been mentioned above if he's riding parallel to the coast or not
