I wish I had an anomometer, cause the winds are just getting worse and worse here in Brooklyn. It rained overnight, but I don't think we got as much as other places did. The remnant low center is still 15 miles southeast of DC according to the Hydrometeorological Prediction Center, and moving north at 10 mph. I saw a report from JFK of wind gusting to 41 mph. It's definitely at least that here, and the radar shows a band streaming in fast into the Jersey shore moving up. This is worse than a storm that was approaching a couple years ago, I think it was Floyd, and that was still a depression when it got here. Almost reminds me of Gloria when it was beginning, but won't quite be that. Still only early September though, things could get interesting here.
For all mid-atlanticers and northward - keep watch on that big swirl in the middle ocean.
