Images of Katrina
I am attempting to upload some of the photos taken by North Florida DART last year. Any tips on how to do this?

TYVM for your time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually, I think it's nice to have a seperate thread for New Orleans pix and MS pix. Makes it easier to distinguish between the two places for those unfamiliar with the areas. Perhaps a change to the topic titles "Katrina Damage: New Orleans" and "Katrina Damage: Mississippi" or something along those lines.

Kristi, the pictures really do not do justice to the destruction that Katrina brought to the coast and to areas well inland. Seeing the areas in person gives one a great deal of respect for what these storms can do! (I might add that living through the storm and the aftermath is misery!)

I will try to keep posting more guys... These were taken by our SAR unit so we have to go over them first before posting. I didnt mean to upset Hurricanefloyd by starting a new thread. I wish i could figure out how to get some of the video we shot during Katrina posted somewhere. I'll keep you all posted.

I saw a good program on a Red Cross volunteer who went down there right after Katrina hit. She was with other volunteers. The experience changed their lives.

We appreciate your concern! It's great to know that there are people who have not forgotten what happened and know that there are still people going through a rough time one year later.
Things are "normal" in my area, other than the landscape having been changed. Also, the traffic is much heavier with all the misplaced people from the coast and New Orleans in this area. And we still have a place to call home, unlike countless coastal and NO residents. We have much to be thankful for!
