The surface pressures in the keys are up around 29.97 but looking at the radar there does seem to be a mid/upper level circulation centered over the keys.

Some pretty good sized boomers are rolling west across the Tampa bay area currently. Could be a Home brew storm if this works its way down through all the layers to the surface.

Well if it is truly centered over the keys it may roll out into the GOM.

I agree. Check out the key west radar and you can see a circulation. Something to watch I guess.

I'm seeing a mid-level spin here but it's so far away from the radar that it's hard to tell if it is really spinning.

^^ Def no spin there.
If there is *any* spin its over the keys, but even then I still see nothing to see here.

I'm sorry but, if there is a mid level ciculation it's going to be under the strongest firing storms. I see no evidence of a circulation in the keys or any convection to speak of right now.

IF, IF , IF ... there is a mid level circulation it would definitely be under the convection.

^^ I understand, but there is no hint whatsoever of a MLC where u are circling, and as of right now IF there is rotation, it seems like the MOST rotation (if any) is over the keys

I think you looking at the surface features that are much closer to the radar site. The area I am looking at... the radar beam is sent higher into clouds. The area I am mentioning does have a spin to it. This sometimes occurs with convective bursts. There may be a slight surface circulation where you are mentioning but, there is no convection so it is hard to tell.

Isn't this the convection heading towards South FL? By my estimates, it should be over Miami within the next hour or 2.

I think I see what you are seeing....but my opinion is that its the radar playing tricks due to building/dying convection

Ugh. It was on our Channel 7, the ABC affiliate here in Florida. Let me see if I can find you a link to their 11 pm forecast. After the game.
