I hear ya. Its stupid how much time i spend on my pc tracking these mindless storms. Im a control freak,i have to know what they are doing every stinking minute. Its already getting to me ! I dont have the grey hair, but the twitches!!! They alwys lead me to my computer! :P

The government paying 1000's of people during the tropical season to get in their vehicles and do dognuts in the deserts of Africa kicking up so much SAL that it will suppress developement forever. 8-)

Last evening Steve Lyons and Jim Cantore (TWC) were discussing the reasons why 2006 is so much different than 2005, and, during the discussion, Dr. Lyons showed a graphic that clearly illustrated the increase in shear across the tropics, compared to this time last year.

It's pretty obvious that many last year did not count on a stronger El Nino than was forecast for this year - or one at all...

did Lyons & Cantore give a reason for the increased shear (ie, El Nino)?
