I need a VACATION!!!!!

#1 Postby azsnowman » Tue Sep 05, 2006 8:12 pm

Auuuugh! I NEED our vacation and QUICK  ONLY 32 MORE DAYS...but who's counting? I am SO burned out, managing the landscaping business, doing the books, working full time at the police dept, my brains fried, my back hurts "waaah, waaah, WAAAAAAAAAH!" LOL!

ONLY 32 more DAYZZZZZZZ

Anyone else taking a late vacation? We wait until school starts before we go...it's MUCH nicer with the kids back in school....SORRY but it's TRUE!! LOL!

We did the opposite, we took an early vacation this year, less than 1 week after school let out (and work for me since I work for the school district). It seems so long ago! As if we didn't even have one but we did (early June).

Our next door neighbors took a very late one this year and got back into town one day before school started. That is cutting it a little too close!

July is nice - shoot for that next year Dennis. We've taken many a July vacation and it's a nice time. Mid-summer, time to anticipate it but not too late.

I'd love a Fall getaway this year. We haven't had a Fall hiking trip in years. We should just pick one day and leave early, hike all day and come home late. No hotel needed that way. Cheap-cheap but a break just the same.

Hang in there.....it's almost here!

We are taking one in October to Western NC to go ride the Tweestie Railroad Ghost Train and to dig up some gemstones at the public gemstone mine out there...first vacation that I will actually remember, as the last TRUE vacation we went on was in 1997-8, cant remember which, when we went to D.C. for about a week...I remember some of it...but not much...

Hey Dennis, you know how to make it feel like the vacation is quicker? We used to say we have X amount of get-ups before we went on vacation..get-ups meaning how many more days we had to get up for work, so if 32 days includes your days off, subtract them, so if there are 8 days that you don't have to work in that 32 day total, then you really only have 24 get-ups before you go on vacation

Same here... I'm bombing my classes... they're just too much. AND THIS IS ONLY THE HONORS PORTION!!!

Of course, not saying that vacations are pleasant either... the one to Canada was a disaster, last one to Grand Canyon led me to a bad grade on my FRQ exam in AP Europ Hist.
