I would like to add to that. Derek I think I sense a bit of humor coming from you. Is this the case? If it is... this is a rare occasion.
Beg to differ.
I see humor from Derek quite often.
Topical comparisons to Golf, Pink Floyd's "Wall" (OK, a stretch he merely said a "wall" but I am extrapolating); winning the lottery etc...
I mean how many times can the Pro Mets who follow these threads (and thank goodness they do and provide comments) tell the "its going west, SW, Texas, Florida, NC/SC" et al.. that this storm will NOT hit the US.?!?!?!?!
Give it a rest folks, how many times can Derek, wxman and the others tell us that Florence will be turning away and following the periphery of the high. Not to mention that the NHC comtinually restates the same thing!
Ernesto was a freak and defied all of the logic.
A storm that could not be predicted be it track or strength.
He was the EXCEPTION and NOT THE RULE.
The NHC and Pro Mets are "ususally" correct.
And Florences's track has been a "slam dunk".
Ooohhh; a metaphor that can be used by Derek too!!!
Lay off the Pro Mets, y'all; they have been exactly right on the track of Florence. Enjoy watching Florence struggle to attain Hurricane force and the other systems that continue to be "duds" in 2006.
So far, a well deserved break from last year.
And you can tell your grandchildren that you followed it all.....
