I know this is off topic, but strong 5.6 earthquake reported 260 miles west southwest of Tampa/St Petersburg, Fl

Maybe it was caused from all that oil drilling out there. They probably created a new fault line, lol...

Felt it here in Seminole county north of Orlando.

Windows rattled a little. Ground shook for a couple of times no more than 5 seconds. Strange! Does this increase the sink hole dangers?

I thought that was what was happening. I went outside expecting to see a crater next to my house.

Did this happen around 11 am EDT? I had just left my house and was driving down my street to get some lunch and I heard a strange knocking or tapping sound. Might have been windows rattling in the houses I was driving by. Freaky.

It happened at 1456UTC (or 10:56 EDT). Specific information about this event is available at http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/rec ... usslav.php . That page also has an area where you can let them know if you felt it (see the "Did You Feel It?" link towards the bottom).
