That's what I'm thinking, Brent, looks like a definite W or WNW track. Actually very westerly for the next 24 to 36 hours at least and likely to miss the DR.

Sorry for asking a stupid question, but how do you guys know it would head into the Gulf if that graphic verifies? I dont see any arrows or anything pointing in the direction it will move. Can you guys help me out with that?

you cant guess GOM yet...if that track verifies...it could still only hit NS, or NC or Fl or Ga or SC, NY etc...it will come down to ridges and troughs...

That map is being misread

That is just a possible formation area. There is no forecast track on that map.

Chances are, this will head right behind Florence, right through her weakness

I agree Derek. A few runs of the GFS have been making the front that Florence leaves behind linger. In that case, we can just about say goodbye for any chances of any future CV system making it to the CONUS.

Sorry, this is just crazy but certainly a relief for anyone who does not like hurricanes.

Maybe because (I think) that plot represents BAMM models and also that it's way too early to predict the exact path because of the complicated climactic conditions surrounding NoName 7 (re: NHC).

NRL says it will follow florence..and on a more North easterly track eventually.
