Good luck and maybe Florence will just stay at 65mph. If it goes east of you you'll get the weaker side.

Winds have been slowly increasing all night, now a steady 35knts. Funny, that would normally be a windy day, but when you're expecting so much more, it does'nt feel like much. The waves on South Shore are the most impressive thing this morning, huge. Gotta go and take pictures. Amazing color in the sky just prior to sunrise. No rain yet, looks like it headed our way soon though. http://www.weather.bm/radarLarge.asp
I'll keep in touch

^^^ THAT is impressive.

Florence was centered about 320 miles south of you guys at 5AM Eastern, and if Bermuda is reporting 35 kt winds then Florence has a HUGE TS windfield

Funny they are only predicting 24mph winds tonight and 17 mph tomorrow. They are already at 23 mph. Me thinks they need to revise thier forcast.

For current conditions try the same server as the radar...login and password guest at the top of next page choose awos instead of the radar and get three reports in last half hour from 3 different places on the island.

A tornado touched down in Bermuda according to Stormcarib
--
A few gusts coming through now. I heard a report that a tornado touched
down and did some damage to a roof earlier this evening--the fun begins!!
It has gotten really humid over the last 3 or so hours, Flo is approaching
she's now around 140 miles to our south east.

The eye is just over 60 miles due west of the island now.

Looks like the strongest part of the eyewall on radar will miss them to the west.

Pretty darned windy this morning. Winds probably reaching 80knots in gusts. Bays and inshore waters covered with sheets of spray. Had a pretty good blast of wind/rain about 5am. Still have power. This is the kind of hurricane we love, not meyham, just a fun blow.
