HOLY SMOKES....has it REALLY been THAT long since I've been here  I am ASHAMED of myself!

Here it is, 6 days till the end of summer and we have a MAJOR cold front moving in today! I just read somewhere where this upcoming winter is supposed a KILLER for us...."MEGA SNOW!" 8-) So...with that said, it's ALMOST time for the PBS

BTW....HI!!

Another thing, can we get this thread "unstuck" "LOL!" We need to let it go by the wayside!

Dennis

BTW....tell your son "CONGRATS" from me Steve!

The major cold front is moving in today sometime, look at the winds for tomorrow....in the AFD they are talking about issuing a "high wind warning!" AND....they are talking about a tropical storm coming up the Gulf Of California with a MAJOR moisture surge on Tues through Friday!

sticky gone....

We the physical is up at AF Reserve Headquarters...I'm just waiting for the yay or nay from them. It is about time!

I'm sitting in Honolulu right now awaiting a SpaceA flight over to Andersen AFB Guam... yes Guam. I'm staying at the Hale Koa (at Fort DeRussy) right now and then will move over to Hickam AFB Lodging while I prepare for the flight hopefully tomorrow (15th). It is still hard to realize that I'm 'stranded' here in Honolulu... Yes I was bogeyboarding (not surfing)... I did get to see Pearl Harbor, University of Hawaii, and of course Waikiki... oh yea was an official Beach Bum for a day... I can prove it... I am fried (in parts that I'm not tan on)

Hey there snowman! I read that too, and Southern california is expected much heavier snowfall then lastyear also...which is a blessing...we have season passes to the ski resort..so the sooner, and the more, the better for us!

Its very comfortable here today....50's at night...high 70's today.....PERFECT and that breeze blowing makes it feel like fall!

We have friends flying in today from FL, so I'm sure this dry, cooler weather will be a welcome sight for them!

Bretts football is going well...so far he is 2-0...excellent...with another game tonight.

Chloes cheer is amazing as well. The football team she cheers for basically stinks...but the cheerleaders blow everyone away!!!

Life is good...very busy...but good.

We have todays company arriving, then Brians sister comes in for a visit from South Carolina, and then my aunt flys in from santa Cruz...then we leave for Maryland for the Chargers game...all between now and the end of the month....oh, and homecoming is this weekend...yada yada... :O)

Shannon, I didn't realize that you were in Hawaii. How exciting!!!

Dennis, our winter forecast is for a mild winter. Go figure. It's been raining here all week.

Dang furry, you'se guys sound like me  2 days in the landscaping business....4 days (32 hours) at the PD now instead of 24 hours  work, work, work, waaah, waaaaah, WAAAAAAAAAAH! it's my own dang fault so I CANNOT complain (at least too loud)

Yup, yup.....it feels like fall BIG TIME today, the way the air feels this evening, I KNOW it's gonna freeze!!! I sure HOPE it's going to be a GOOD wet winter!! We didn't cut ANY wood this year, our cutting area was TOO wet to even try SO we bought 3 cords of wood, aligator juniper and gamble oak and the price was right....$100 cord  I mean heck, MY cost for cutting a cord of wood runs approx. $40-$50 a cord and I didn't have to WORK at it, I just have to split it and stack it now!

Made it to Guam aboard a Military Shuttle from Hickam AFB. It was a pretty smooth ride in a C17.... The whole cargo area of the plane was open, so we were able to lay on the floor and stretch out.

It is currently 3:40pm in Guam.... oh yea, Septh 16th.
