this is what I meant by exactly. Also just because someone spells something wrong doesn't mean they are a bad person or diminish their character in my opinion.caribepr wrote:Rainband wrote:exactlygatorcane wrote:by the same token, I think this board has many *very* intelligent people despite some of the spelling errors - its just we are typing too fast to feed the frenzy. lol
Slower typing with more thought might just be something to consider when posting. While the spelling and grammatical errors are annoying (English major here), they don't bother me nearly as much (ok, except for the repeated Carribean mistake, it's CARIBBEAN!!) as obviously unthought out, tossed off posts that add nothing to a discussion. Frenzy motivated threads or posts are not, in my opinion, a plus to this board and frankly, diminish the value weight of the poster.
By the way, there is a cool little thing called spell check here, but it's actually named spelchek...maybe it's all hopeless.

Regit wrote:fci, please proofread your original post on the topic of "lexicans."
And craptacular, I think lexican is someone who has dual citizenship in Libya and Mexico. Maybe?
gtsmith wrote:I'm glad someone opened this thread as it is sometimes (actually most times) utterly painful to read some of the posts. And unfortunately I haven't said anything due to the harshness of the board's rules with respect to "criticising" others. And don't 4get about those who add 2gether numbers and letters, Prince wanna-bes in my book. - l8ter
