Ever had a total stanger smile at you, like at a work place, party, school, restaurant, or any public place?

I get a lot of smiles, mostly from women. :D Whenever it happens, I think about New York because of all the buildings it has and the skyline it has. One of the buildings, that came to mind is the World Trade Center and this was way before 9/11. It also explains why I am constantly haunted by the images of the building on 9/11. :( Also, I think about those cute cuddly ptarmigans.

All the time . . . that's the beauty of running. Where I am, it's practically common courtesy to smile and maybe even say "hi" or "good morning" when you pass someone on a trail or path. It's also a pretty common thing to do in the running world in general, with the exception of at races. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the runners/joggers in Dallas . . . went running while on a trip down there, and only one even looked up at me - he said good morning, too. But all the others put me in a down mood for the rest of the run, as it just wasn't something I'm used to.

Of course. You have to come to Pittsburgh. We're the only people that can make life-long friends in the grocery line. I can't imagine going thru life with blinders on and not looking around and giving a friendly smile or a nice "hi there." :D :D :D

Yes I do. I often have a smile for some mindless reason, and people respond.

That is exactly how Pascagoula is. And LOOK OUT if all the people standing around you feel the same way as you do. No peace for anybody.
