What I do know is that the Pakistani government funded and created the Taliban. And that they are absolutely infiltrated with these cronnies. I know that we would be losing soldiers in Afghanistan like we're losing them in Iraq without Pakistani help. And I know that Pakistan supports terrorist groups in the region. They are being led by a general.

It was time to get serious. We made a serious statement perhaps. Would the US have done it? I do not know, but I do know that we are at war.

There has been much criticism that the US only went after the weak powers involved in terrorism after 9/11. This is a statement that it was not so. There is no stronger muslim country in the world than Pakistan.l

They were all born and raised in western countries. The UK bombers, for example, were all born in British cities. The preparations were mostly done by internet, they used their own money and sometimes they collected money.

Anyway, one can fight as much as they want in the Middle East, but with every Muslim killed by a western soldier, two more will stand up to join their Jihad.

So if fighting terrorism doesn't work (and it looks to be that way, because the world hasn't become safer at all since the War on Terrorism started), what should we do then? Find out why those people become extremists. Poverty is one reason, but it's hard to fight that in countries with almost no natural resources such as Afghanistan. Another reason is the fact that they just hate the West and want nothing to do with it. So maybe we should just leave them alone and stop trying to make Westerners of them (they obviously don't want democracy and plasma-tv, so why bother forcing them to accept these things?).

Don't forget that the US also funded the Taliban heavily in the '80s so they could fight the USSR. Most of the religious schools that are now training terrorists in that region were started with US-money.

The reasons for Madrid, London and Bali are clear: the War in Iraq and the fact that the two countries participated in that war. Bali wasn't targeted against Indonesia, but against the Australian tourists that used to frequent the building that was blown up.
I'm not saying that we should just sit back and let them attack us, but that we should try to resolve this in another way. The fighting obviously isn't working.

How do you figure it will make it worse? They need to be stopped this has been going on long enough. Who are you to tell us that we should continue letting them kill Americans on US soil and abroad. We all know there are terrorist cells here in the US and abroad just waiting for the word to move.
