Looks like a classic tropical cyclone. The eye needs to be more cleared out though.

It went through an eyewall replacement cycle today. The last visables show a much wider eye and awesome outflow.Click the link below and then run a visable floater loop of Yagi and you can see the cycle, quite an impressive system!

The West-Pac has always been where it's at (with the exception of last year's 30-25 upset by the Atlantic). Of course, this year, you're right... on both sides. Who would've thought that the E-Pac would have more landfalling hurricanes than the Atlantic?

I like your scoreboard in your picture. It would be nice to have scores for number of hurricanes and number of landfalling hurricanes as well, but then it might be too hard to read!

Western Pacific is below average at this point

in a average year should be 19 storms by end of September

2006 to date is 14 storms

this is the least active Western Pacific season since 1977 when just 13 formed by end of September (29 years ago)
