Just to clarify what gt is trying to say about gasoline being a commodity: Oil from many different sources goes into a refinery. By the time the final product exits the refinery and goes to market, that product could have raw oil from OPEC countries (Venezuela being one) or domestic oil. Only the refineries know for certain who they're buying from. It's almost impossible for the final consumer to pick and choose what country he's buying product from.

Also, as gt pointed out, when you buy a particular brand of gasoline or oil, you're buying additives and branding. The best a Citgo boycott would do is hurt the individual franchise owners.
