State Fair of Texas Opens Today

You heard right, the State Fair of Texas is once again open this year for 3 weeks of fun! If you live or planning on visiting the Dallas area, go to BigTex.com for more details. Who knows, I just might go there during that period.

Any other State Fairs in the US opening this fall?

Ours is from October 12 - 22. We didn't have one last year because of Hurricane Rita and the aftermath here. (first time it was cancelled since the YMBL took over the event about 63 years ago)

Ours is when its supposed to be a little cool, although sometimes I've almost had a heat stroke at the fair. February 8-19, 2007
