looks like the blob is actually just stationary in the Bay of Campeche - maybe it won't move west into Mexico?

There is a circulation just north of the Yucatan. No real convection and it's being sheared very bad but it's there none the less.

5:30 TWO:
ANOTHER AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS...OVER THE BAY OF CAMPECHE
AND THE SOUTHWESTERN GULF OF MEXICO...IS ASSOCIATED WITH A WEAK
TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE. DEVELOPMENT IS NOT EXPECTED. HOWEVER...
LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL IS POSSIBLE OVER COASTAL AREAS OF EASTERN
MEXICO OVER THE NEXT DAY OR SO AS THE SYSTEM REMAINS NEARLY
STATIONARY.

That convection near 20 N 88 W still looks like it has some mid level spin. Might have time to converge and develop since its a little further north than the last wave.
