Home from my Sat's :)

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Sat Oct 14, 2006 1:04 pm

Just wanted 2 let ya know I am home from my Sats. I got home around 12:30.

The test started around 8:30.. I'm not going to discuss anything in depth about the test because I'm technically not allowed too until 11/8 when I get my scores lol..

My score may drop a bit because I didn't entirely finish my essay. If I would have had another 5 mins lol I would have finished the paragraph I was on lol

I'm hoping I got my 1,000 I wanted but I'm even feeling optimistic {essay not withstanding} and thinking I got over 1,000.

November 8th.. the results :)

John, I didn't think you were still in high school. :) I thought you were much older. Good luck. Hope you did well.

I took them today. I hope to do better than the 1230(or 1820 with writing) that I got in May.

Yeah, it was 1600 before but now it's 2400, I took the new SAT last summer and got around 1800.

Its out of 2400, but 1600 is still the universal measuring stick. The essay isn't important at all yet. No colleges look at it. I am hoping for a combined reading/math score of 1300 from both tests.

Not entirely true. Plenty of selective colleges (Duke and Wake Forest to name two) consider the SAT scores out of 2400 rather than 1600.

I was fortunate enough to score a 2200 the second time I took the test... :cheesy:
