Our severe and heavy rain threat should diminish over the next few hours with only isolated showers and storms by late evening (we are now on the extreme western edge of the SPC slight risk zone). The end is in sight! Except for fog in the morning, tomorrow should be mostly sunny with lower dewpoints (but hot with temps. nearing 90F).Yankeegirl wrote:IS there anymroe coming? It looks like we still have a ways to go over here. It's pouring. With the wind whipping and the rain coming down sideways, it gives an eerie reminder of Rita last year. Of course the winds aren't even close to as strong as they were then...it's just the sideways rain gave me a little flashback.

It's still very dark and pounding rain under the BC Dome, Yankee. This is so weird. It'll get light for about 15 minutes, then pitch black and pouring for another 15 minutes. Been doing this for the last 2-3 hours. Thank Heavens for the breaks in between; had it been continuous downpours, we'd be putting up furniture by now.

Brazoria county up through SE Houston is getting hammered now. Could be my distorted view from lack of sleep, but the training line seems to have slowed down. Katdaddy, be prepared from some serious rainfall rates over the next few hours.

Hey Duckie! I hope you didn't lose too many feathers getting home from work. Um... you DID make it in to work this morning right?
uhhh Jen...I think you've had a rough day.![]()
Well, that is true; I'm just expecting everyone to follow my twisted train of thought. I know you made the post, but talking about Galveston made me think of our own GalvestonDuck, who hasn't chimed in to this thread since early this morning. Anyone else heard from her?
