Thanks.

Thanks, Feederband.

The way they march creeps me out. And did anyone see the pic on http://www.cnn.com showing the S. Koreans in gas masks? I can't imagine having to live like that.

You never know with North Korea. It was only a few days for the nuke test, but around the 4th of July it was about 2 weeks with the missile test.

What you see there are thousands of torches in the ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the party of Kim Jon Ill.

Strategically this is good news so long as they are not allowed to develop more sophisticated weapons as the result of the tests.

Yes, but without access to spare parts and with the threat of starvation and military action, they may be throwing away a percentage of their arsenal. Anyways its a moot point, as of yet they don't have an effective delivery agent and I doubt they'll be able to shrink it faster than we can strangle them. Assuming the Chinese stay on board.

Rice in Japan

Condi Rice is on an Asian trip that will include now in Japan, tommorow South Korea and friday in China. The hardest part of her trip will be China as the Chinese are somewhat vague on inspecting ships from North Korea, although they are inspecting trucks at the border.

With this kind of payoff almost any country can be bribed into action.

24 December: Wall Street bankers are called to an emergency meeting on
Christmas Eve. At midnight, the IMF agrees to rush 10 billion dollars to
Seoul to meet an avalanche of maturing short-term debts.

Where DO they get the money?

China trys to stop North Korea

Will China change the minds of the regime in NK and persuade them to not do the tests?
