#1 Postby Brent » Wed Oct 18, 2006 4:03 pm

Includes New York, Miami, Atlanta, Seattle, Houston, Oakland, Cleveland, which all have games this weekend. The Government is however skeptical.

Nothing should be taken for granted. I wouldn't doubt that there will be some increase in security though.

I hate hearing about threats like these as well. Unfortunately, it's a fact of our life now. I do hope that they turn out to be false rumors but we still have to take each seriously.

Local article about this threat, although Cincinnati's Paul Brown Stadium not listed among the rest. Still, I imagine all NFL stadiums across the country are on alert mode or have been already.

Maybe he's been watching too much Jericho and it was a sick joke. You don't warn people of impending attacks unless you want to make people not go to the games so you can get a ticket cheap.

Green Bay plays at Miami this weekend... Hopefully nothing goes wrong there.

There is probably a high likelihood that this is a hoax... However, nothing should be taken forgranted.

We'll all have to watch the classic Robert Deniro SNL skit involving 'wanted FBI terrorists'!

Scary, I just don't think they would warn us. These days anything is possible.

Wait...

Why would anyone want a nuclear device to be detonated in a major American city?

I'm hoping some people are just missing the point of what "bring it" means.

I am tired of all the baseless threats...if your gonna do something, do something...if not shuuuut uuuuupppp and go back to the cave your hiding in. We are not scared!!!! This instance looks to be a case of pure BS.

I guess we think differently. I'll take a new threat every day over a single nuclear attack.

Nah...by "bring it," I don't mean "bring it here" nor "bring it on" in a physical sense, like I want a nuclear attack here. Like fwbbreez, I mean "Shut up, you cowardly so-and-so's. Bring it, don't sing it. Come out and fight like a man." Instead, they're doing what most "terrorists" do...bringing about a sense of terror among some Americans with just their words, not actions. Just puny, mindless, random, improbable threats.

If someone wanted to kill you, why wouldnt' they just kill you. I mean logically, if you wanted to do something really bad, you wouldn't warn people that you are about to do something, that's stupid.
It seems to be just a scare tactic.
It's a load of crock.
