Wow!!! If I didn't recognize the water tower and a few other things I would have to say that couldn't be Pensacola Beach!!! The surf oesn't come up like that very often in P'cola!!!!!!!!!!! If I didn't know better I would have said it was hurricane surf, except there are no tropical systems in the GM and most hurricane surf doesn't close out that bad either. I sure would have been out in it with Yancy Sr. 40 years ago though if we had surf like that. What memories!!! Thanks.

Yes that was definitely the biggest surf we've seen all year so far.I went out there on Monday and it was really going off.One set that came in was 10+ feet, it was incredible...and a little scary lol. This past summer has been the flattest summer I've ever seen, probably because there have been no hurricanes to kick it up.This surf was from the same system that flooded SE TX and SW LA a few days ago.vbhoutex wrote:Opal storm wrote:That sounds awesome. We just had a good swell come in earlier this week, here's some nice footage from the pier: http://www.innerlightsurf.com/video_report_main.asp
