That was awesome. I cannot wait til next week.

Orson: "When Andrew was living on the street men paid him to do things"
Bree: "Like yardwork?"

Plus Carlos comes back to his home, Gabby gets arrested, and Edie turns Mike against Susan. I love it! Ian bugs me though for some reason. I don't want Susan with him, but it was nice to see her move on and not be so depressed about everything.

Danielle is alive!

Orson was nice towards the end when he gave Andrew money and got him to come back home. Too bad he's at the very least responsible for attempted murder.

Brent - yeah they forgot Danielle was on the payroll. LOL

I've watched this show from day one and just recently my daughter Laura wanted to start watching with me. Over the past 2 seasons she'd see parts of shows and ask - what the heck are you watching? Well, FF to Season 3 and suddenly she's interested. Thank God she doesn't ask me a ton of questions each episode. That said, she has had a hard time with Bree dropping Andrew off in the country. Kids at school think it's b/c he said he was gay. Well, I set her straight on that boy. So anyway, now I have a DH buddy in the house! Which is nice. I'm fuzzy on details though. Just how many people has Paul murdered? Zach's bio mom, Mary Alice and Mrs. Huber, correct? Laura did say - wow a lot people die on this show!

Gabby in the suitcase - loved it.

Edie peeking under the sheet - too funny. And just like Edie.

Susan saying 9 instead of 11. That was so Susan!

Lynette's weekend! Yikes. Either she's gonna crack from Nora hanging around so much or those 2 are going to get along. I thought that car ride was going to be a turning point for them. Oh well. I think I'd be ready to lose it though, by now!

New promo for Sunday that aired tonight.

Gabby calls the police to report a burgular. While she's on the phone we see someone crash through the window! She then tells to come armed, that she thinks he's Mexican.

:roflmao:

When Mike wakes up, Edie begins to freak out. She runs through the hospital yelling "Code Red!!!!!!!!" it was so funny.

While Susan wonders about him, thinking he's wondering where she is, Edie is sitting in bed with him talking and showing him things.

and it rehashed the "What Andrew did while he was away" thing. I cannot wait til Bree finds out about that :P

Oh this is going to be fun.

Pictures from October 29th are up... Gabby and Carlos get back together, and Orson's past begins to catch up with Bree

You can see them here(spoilery):

Oh so much to say...

first off the one-liners of the night

"Tell them to come armed... I think he's Mexican!"

"Yardwork?"

Bree's reaction to Danielle sleeping with the history teacher was priceless. Oh and Andrew getting along with Bree?! Something must have really got to him when he was servicing men. I never thought I'd see it, but Danielle might be more evil to Bree than Andrew was!

Susan, Susan, Susan. She was really mean to Ian, and it was unnecessary. Ian didn't make her go to the mountains with him. Looks like she presses the stupid button(I've missed that  ) again next week when she tries to kidnap Mike(!?).

I love evil Edie. :P

Lynette, well blah. I actually missed Nora a little. *Shoot me now*

Carlos and Gabby were hilarious. Gabby is such a selfish brat. Carlos comes and bails her out, says he still loves her, and then she throws John in his face? She totally deserved to be thrown out of the car.

Next week looks awesome with them having double dates!

I was about to type my comments but Brent, you pretty much said what I wanted to! LOL

Yeah, where was Nora. She would have had something to say about Lynette's bribe. Oh yeah. I actually missed her too, half expecting her to pop up at the baseball game.

Evil Edie - I like that nickname. She knows full well her little game might be short lived but it'll be worth to see Susan's reaction when Susan learns how devious Edie was. Poor Ian though. I was starting to like him.

Nice to see Bree and Andrew doing some bonding. Now this is the Andrew I can like. You have to wonder if he's being sincere.

I hope Gabby and Carlos get back together. Sure doesn't look like it though. She had to go and mention the gardener's name.

I didn't think anyone could top George in the creepy b/f or husband dept. but Orson does. What did Bree see in him - oh yes, how he washed his wine glasses. That's what I always looked for in a guy too....he he

I know it seems unlikely, but I've seen some strong evidence they do in about 2 weeks. I think next week will be the turning point, as bizarre as that sounds. Remember Susan said she felt nothing for Karl either, and remember where that went.

Brent - I hope you're right. What I hope happens is that they reunite, the pressure to conceive is off and she ends up pregnant. Because the pressure was off. Gabby could be the character who drastically changes from when the show first started - she could end up being a very good mom and less self-centered. Stranger things have happened. And to think I used to FF over her scenes. I could not stand her! Here's a TV critique on last night's show. I'm trying not to post these as much as I used to, since it's time consuming, LOL. But this one is good.

Desperate Housewives
by Dave Anderson
October 15, 2006: Like It Was

Well, the battle between Susan and Edie for Mike's attention was certainly resurrected tonight. In true soap opera form, Mike finally came out of his coma and the only one not around or even in town was Susan. Susan was gallivanting with Ian in the country again, in a place where there was, of course, poor cell reception. When Susan's daughter Julie finally got through to Susan's cell, I was so hoping Julie would've said: "Umm...Mike came out of his coma. Can you hear me now?" I didn't think Susan was being fair to Ian. She didn't have to reciprocate his flirtations in the first place, but she did. But then I felt bad for Susan when Mike told her he didn't remember her and asked her not to come back for a while since he had to go to physical therapy. Retrograde memory loss will do that to you. You just knew Edie was going to be leering around the corner and then tell naïve Mike that he wasn't in love with Susan. Payback's a mean lady and her name is Edie.

Orson is one of my favorite characters on the show now and I think it's due to a combination of the character being written so well and because Kyle MacLachlan is just so dang good. Yes, Orson is a "bad guy" and you can tell he's got a sordid past that included killing his wife. But unlike Bree's former psychopath other half George, I don't find Orson creepy. Am I alone here? I like that he's so mysterious, but likeably mysterious. Why is he being so nice and supportive to Bree's kids and to Bree herself, but yet, why did he try to kill Mike and then freak out when he heard Mike came out of his coma? I kind of like not knowing why. Speaking of Bree's scandalous kids, it did not surprise me that Andrew turned tricks with older men while he was homeless and that Danielle had a bad perm, I mean, that Danielle was sleeping with her history teacher, Mr. Falati (Anthony Azizi from Commander in Chief). One of the best scenes tonight was when Bree confronted her neighbor Vera Keck and told her that her husband Howard (Terry Rhoads) was one of Andrew's clients. Best way to shut Bree up? Tell her about Danielle and the teacher. Poor Bree -- her two kids are the town sluts. Vera was played by the fabulous Lisa Banes, who has portrayed a plethora of various roles in her career, but the one I want to point out? How about the mother in Mother, May I Sleep With Danger? Oh yes. Not everyone can say they've played the title character in a Tori Spelling TV movie.

While we're on the subject of Tori Spelling, I enjoyed the battle between Gabrielle and Carlos. She went too far in selling his belongings in a yard sale, but he went too far when he even suggested peeing in her mouthwash, soup and coffee. Then Carlos pulled a Bree and asked Gaby to get out of the car and he left her there on the street after she told him she slept with John Rowland again. Oh -- what's the Tori connection, you ask? That was Michael Durrell as Gaby's lawyer briefly at the very end. 90210 fans will remember Michael as Donna Martin's doctor father. Uh-huh.

What a treat it was to have a Nora-free episode! At last -- Lynette and Tom got to spend time with one of their sons. Since Parker was so bad at playing baseball, I totally related to him since I was always picked last while choosing teams in gym class (cue Debbie Downer noise). I didn't mind Lynette paying that pitcher kid Nicky $50 to help Parker and I laughed out loud when Parker's ball hit Nicky in the head. Am I bad? Glad Lynette seems to want to support Tom as he chases his dreams. As long as he chases them away from Nora.

I didn't miss Nora at all - she drives me nuts!!!! I'm still bored with Susan. Poor Bree. I agree with Dave Anderson, Orson is so mysterious but I like him too. Does he really love Bree as much as he seems too. I love the fact that he was responsible for bringing Andrew back home. Has Andrew really changed?? I'd like it if he had.

Maybe some horrible truth will come out about Orson and Andrew and Bree will stick together to get him out of their life - but for now there is a part of Orson that you've got to love. (including washing the wine glasses so perfectly)lol

Gabby and Carlos are hilarious!! No two people go to that extend to make each other miserable unless they are really in love. LOL :) :cheesy:

Oh and what can I say about Lynette - "I'll get my checkbook!!"

ABC has released a few pictures from November 5th, when the hostage situation at the Supermarket occurs(which is approriately titled "Bang") and Laurie Metcalf's character is the shooter. In one picture, she is pointing a gun at Lynette's head. At least one character, who is a regular, will die, but it's not one of the main women.

This is going to sound awful but I was hoping something drastic would happen to Nora. She'd be incarcerated, or proven to be an unfit mother and in the end, Kayla could live with Tom and Lynette. Maybe my hope for Nora isn't too far off - LOL My daughter keeps saying it's amazing that Kayla seems like such a normal little girl. When her mother is a real wacko!

Karan - I like this Andrew too and I'm hoping he's changed.

Whenever we discuss Bree or one of her kids, I keep thinking back to one of the earliest or maybe the viewer's first real glimpse into the Van De Kamp family. They were all 4 eating dinner. Bree wanted everything to be perfect - cuisine, elbows off the table, polite dinner conversation. She was sitting there all June Cleaver like, not a hair out of place, pearls probably. And her two teenagers are glaring at her, rolling their eyes. Didn't one of them ask for something so shocking as grilled cheese? Brent, I know you'd remember what they asked to have to dinner just "one time". I do remember Andrew saying something about just for once, can't we...... Meanwhile Rex was trying to plead with his wife for a more relaxed, normal family type meal. All I remember thinking - wow, this is one dysfuntional family! So now when Bree slut for a daughter is found to be sleeping with a teacher - eh, I'm not shocked. Andrew's past actions - eh, sad but not shocking.

Sure would be nice if this family could somehow be a tad bit normal!

LOL

I keep thinking that's how the Nora storyline will end, with Kayla living with them.

In the pilot, Andrew brought up that one of his friends mother takes 2 minutes to heat up Pork and Beans and then they are eating. Danielle mentioned something related to onions(which Rex was allergic too) as well.

Clips for Sunday:

http://abc.go.com/primetime/desperate/index.html

Gaby discovers Carlos has another woman, LOL

Susan confronts evil Edie

OK, there is some major spoilers on the National Enquirer's website(I know I know, consider the source), but they do make sense and actually match what I've seen elsewhere, so I'm going to post it. Caution: It is MAJOR spoilers about the hostage situation in 2 weeks(November 5th)

A violent chain of events is set off when Lynette (Felicity Huffman), Nora (Kiersten Warren) and Edie (Nicollette Sheridan) go to the grocery store and run into new neighbor Carolyn Bigsby, played by Metcalf.

Lynette puts her foot in her mouth by introducing Nora to Carolyn as "The woman my husband had an affair with before we were married."

The misguided joke sets off Carolyn — because she's actually on the premises to kill her cheating husband, who owns the store. She pulls a gun and takes the three women hostage!

Then, just as the SWAT team arrives, Carolyn panics and begins firing the gun wildly. After wounding Lynette in the arm and killing Nora, she points the gun at Edie. But before she can fire, Carolyn is taken out in a hail of bullets by the SWAT team. When the smoke clears, a grief-stricken Lynette convinces Tom (Doug Savant), to add another child to their brood — by adopting the daughter he'd had with Nora during their affair.

There's more, but that's the main spoiler stuff.

A comment on the spoiler:

This is odd. She has to convince him to adopt her???? He doesn't have to adopt her, he's the father. He'll get custody whether he likes it or not.

WOW, Danielle is truly an underhanded kind of evil. She's got all kinds of Bree in here in that department. :P

OK, I was enjoying the Edie stuff, but now it's annoying. I hate her. It was more fun when she was a villain, not downright hateful. Susan, on the other hand, meh. I do sorta feel sorry for her, but Mike doesn't need either one.

Very interested to see how Orson/Mike and this dead woman tie together.

Nora needs to die(and hopefully will soon). Trying to get between Tom and Lynette, and it looks like it works to a point(hopefully not too far) next week!

I knew it, Gabby and Carlos get back together, at least for a moment next week. That's quite a turnaround from tonight though. Dang.

This is the most air time Edie has had it seems like! I'm sure Nicholette Sheridan is enjoying it. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm not into Mike and Susan reuniting. I never got that excited about their romance to begin with. Susan is just too dingy to be believable. Manipulative, conniving Edie - completely believable. Susan just needs to act her age, IMHO. Yikes, I sound like my mother!

I knew Nora was setting up Lynette. For a few brief scenes last year, I could picture Lynette raising her sons alone. And handling things beautifully. I hope I'm wrong, but Tom could really have that affair and Lynette could end up all alone. Yes Nora would have tricked Tom, but he is weak.

Actually enjoying the Gabby and Carlos scenes. She about broke my heart though when Carlos brought her breakfast in bed. That was low down.

I don't understand why Mike's phone number on Orson's wife's arm is important. Brent - can you explain it? As in a For Dummies: Desperate Housewives help kinda way? LOL I get bogged down by these minor, but very important details.
