I wonder if he'll end up conveniently "dead" like Ken Lay?

I think he will probably be remanded today. I doubt the judge will let him remain free on bail considering the seriousness of the charges. If he dies he will die in custody.

Either way, if he actually dies or just "dies" before the appeals process finishes the conviction will be overturned.
