Yes it is but really I wish everyone at the NHC and other weather bureaus would just admit they were wrong. Yeah sure some of it can be blamed on El Nino, SAL, etc. but come on we've had El Nino seasons with more activity than what we are seeing in 2006. I just think sometimes there is not a scientific reason for why something happened. In my opinion there is just no concrete explanation as to why 2006 was a major dud.
