The National Weather Service In Ruskin Has Issued A Coastal Flood Advisory... Which Is In Effect From 8 PM This Evening To 8 AM EDT Saturday.

A Cold Front Will Move Across The Nature Coast Late Tonight. South Winds Of 15 To 20 Knots This Morning Will Increase To 20 To 25 Knots By This Evening. Winds Will Turn Southwesterly Ahead Of An Approaching Squall Line Tonight. This Will Help To Push Water Onto The Coast... With Some Minor Flooding Possible At The Time Of High Tide. The High Tide At Cedar Key Is At 445 AM EDT Saturday. The High Tide At Clearwater Is At 254 AM EDT Saturday. Tides Are Expected To Peak At 2 Feet Above Normal For A Few Hours Around Midnight. In Areas Where The Squall Line Has Stronger Winds... Localized Coastal Flooding To 4 Feet Above Normal Is Possible In Isolated Areas.

Coastal Flood Warning May Be Required Later If Winds Become Stronger Than Currently Forecast.

A Coastal Flood Advisory Indicates That Onshore Winds And Tides Will Combine To Generate Flooding Of Low Areas Along The Shore.
