Hi everyone. I had a couple of spare moments and thought I would drop by the PBS. It is so good to see a lot of familiar posters on here chatting away.

Congrats on the new job Stephanie!

Welcome back arkess!

Howdy Annette and Donna! :D

Yo pojo, sup?

There is so much to catch up on in these threads. I need to go grab a donut before Crouton comes along.

Depends on the brand you're offering us.

Pfew, I wish it was december 21 already. I could really use two weeks off right now. This study is harder then I thought.

I figured I'd update real quick about what's been on my mind.

Last Sunday (10-22-06) was the day me and Tamara split and there's been good and bad since. On the positive side, I have come to understand she wasn't gonna be a good influence on my life. There was only gonna be bad. BUT...on the negative side, my emotions have been an absolute roller coaster all week long. And not only those, but my thoughts as well. It's said that where the head goes, the heart follows (or something like that, I think, kinda hard to really think at 12 midnight the day after a time change). Well that's what's happened. If my heart starts to want to love her again, my head follows...and likewise if I for some reason begin to hate her. I don't know. I do know this: I have a lot of supporters, from Florence to Cincinnati to TX and NJ. And I want all of you to know, I appreciate every last one of ya. From the bottom of this tired, confused heart, THANK YOU.

Welcome back arkess!!!! Great to see ya.

YUMMY, chocolate chip cookies. Thanks OTown

Rock, we have faith in you. I know you'll figure it out and do what's best for your heart and your head. I've told you before, you have too much to offer to settle for less. But you really do fall in love fast!!!!

I'll brew a pot of Earl Grey and sit back by the fire for a while.

Yeah, I do. That, I will admit, is a handicap.

Thanks everyone for the congratulations! I can't wait to start but it's going be pretty bad next Friday, my last day at the Tropicana.

WELCOME BACK ARKESS!! :D

Jeremy, like Karan said, we have faith in you. I'm glad that you're doing better.

Karan - I could use some tea. I think I'm coming down with a cold. This ALWAYS happens this time of the year. It has been a stressful time in the past at work due to the budget, but since we didn't do that this year, the stress of looking for a new job replaced that. Oh well. Better now than two weeks later.

There's just too many goodies here - I'd better go stand over by the pot belly stove by our "pets", AWAY from them!

Ya know rock...all I can say is, "You're trying TOO hard Brother!" Trust me....I was divorced for 5 years, went out with MANY women, mainly one time and it's like "Gesus, what fruit cakes!" Finally, after 4 yrs. of one relationship after another I gave up and said to Hades with dating....and SURE nuff, Michelle popped into my life when I LEAST expected it....that's been 10 WONDERFUL years ago, the BEST years of my life, I just wish Michelle and I could have met a LONG time ago however, it wasn't meant to be! God puts you through TESTS to see how strong you are and how strong your faith is in HIM and once you've endured His "trail by fire" POOF!!! He will put the RIGHT person in front of you!

Nuff said 8-)

Jeremy - Dennis is right. The same thing happened to me. I went thru a string of dates after my divorce. Some were awful! I had one dinner with a guy who told me my sweater wasn't revealing enough - it was a crew neck! From GAP - my look then. I just looked at him and thought in my head - oh, he wants a different sort of date here.....I wish I had gone to a pay phone, called my brother and waited for him to pick me up. But no I suffered thru that tense date and then we got stuck in a traffic jam. He was cursing, mentioning how I was dressed - sorry I wasn't sleezy enough for him. lol When he pulled in my apt.'s driveway I swear he hadn't even applied the brakes fully and I hopped out. I also paid for my dinner, throwing money on the seat, saying thanks for a nice evening - not. I would bump into him from time to time. He pretended he had never had a date with me. Oh I could go on but you get the idea. Another said he wanted to take a shower with me but nothing would happen. I ran from that date too! At about this time I said - that's it. I've given up on ever being happy, being a mom and dating. I swore off men and decided I would be the world's best aunt to my 2 nieces.

A month later I began dating Jim.

And like Dennis says, 'nuff said.

Now was I putting out desperate vibes? I don't know. I know I wasn't sleezy enough for those jerks and well, too frigging bad!!!! I stood up for my values. You should too. Do not sell yourself too short. Do not compromise what you want out of life. For no one.

The swearing off dating does work. I do think you put out a different vibe when you renounce dating in general. That seems to be when they come running!

I wish you the best Jeremy, as always.

Those are good points. I will say this. I had not been looking for that at the time I met her. She was just a good friend at first. And when I fell for her, it didn't happen in one day...it took 3-4 weeks, and even that I didn't notice at first. It was only when she told me she was having medical problems that I stopped to assess things and realized I loved her. That was two weeks ago. And you know what? We're always gonna be connected. No matter where the friendship goes, we always have the connection that goes with love. God is gonna put the right one in my life, if He hasn't already. Thanks for the kind words of encouragement.
