I had it for over 2 weeks. Came down with it on the 16th of October, two days before Tracy passed away. I was sick that whole week and the week after her service. Was on antibiotics and oxycodone cough syrup the first week and had a pneumonia (newmoanya)shot last week. Finally quit coughing and feel back to normal this week.

Glad to hear you are feeling better. :)

This time of year, I get nervous. There was stretch which ended a few years ago where I would get a two-week flu around Thanksgiving. That is NO FUN, and then you add the chills, the dry skin I get this time of year, and it is NO FUN x 2!

Crossing my fingers I can make it three-in-a-row not getting sick around Thanksgiving. :)

Yours probably was helped along by the stress you were under with Tracey. Your immune system was probably at an all-time low.

I'm glad you're feeling better fact. My cold is going away now as well. I'm still alittle sniffly.

NEWeatherguy - I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. I swear by Vitamin C. I take it everyday with my mulit-vitamin. The cold still got me, but I know that if I don't have the extra "C" I do feel run down and ultimately get sick.

fact789 - you've been sick for a week now. You might want to call your Family Doctor. Ask to speak to his/her nurse and at least list all of your symptoms, from last week until now. Yes viral infections can take this long to get over, but it wouldn't hurt to at least call your doctor.

It's also been my experience, that young people seem to get better much fast than we older ones do. My daughters (16 and 19) will be sick one day and fine the next. Me? I drag, for weeks it seems like (uh 51, here).

Hoping you feel much better. I've just always heard that Day or Nightquill suppresses cough and cold symptoms. Sometimes you want a productive cough to get the congestion up and out (what our Ped. says anyway).

Take care......sorry if my advice is offensive. Once you become a mom, you're always a mom!
