Just 4 conversation and because I'm curious lol..

When on average does everybody put up their Christmas trees? I'm only asking because Yes I actually put mine up today. lol.. Call me nuts but I really wanted to put it up..

Last year.. I actually put it up the day I bought it which was even before Halloween lol.. so I'm getting better..

If I can get a pic of my tree and show it to u guys I will..

I hold off as long as I can get away with it. It's a 7 1/2' fake monster with a gazillion branches. It takes the better part of the day to get it all down unpacked and put up.

My wife starts pressuring me right after T Day but I have this thing about doing it before Dec 1.

I put my CHRISTmas tree up normally the day after Thanksgiving. Didn't put one up last year.

Hmm, I don't really celebrate Christmas (we have another day to give each other presents, which is actually the birthday of Santa Claus), so I don't think I'll put up a Christmas tree this year. My living room is too small for a Christmas tree anyway (that's what you get with these 17th century houses)

Just kidding. I'm sorry, but I had to do that. Our tree goes up sometime in early December. We buy real trees so we don't want them wilting by the 25th. Somewhere between Dec. 5 and the 10th is about right.

When I bought a real tree it would go up 2 weeks before Christmas. Now, I have an artificial tree and my kids come home for Thanksgiving so we all pitch in and put the tree up Thanksgiving weekend. I usually go to one of their homes for Christmas so they would not get to see my tree if I didn't put it up early. It really sucks that my kids live far away. :(

Yeah, it can be small. I always put lights in my ficus tree as well. But personally, I wouldn't bother to just celebrate the birth of Santa Claus. CHRISTmas is to celebrate the birth of Christ. :)

On topic...I get my tree sometime after Thanksgiving when I can get to it. There's no set date, but early December sounds about right. Like Miss Mary, I don't want it dead on Christmas.

Well, I have this bonsai tree on my desk, it has some potential to become a Christmas bonsai tree... And there always the possibility to turn my bike into a Christmas themed bike. Ow, and what about a new doorbell that says 'Ho Ho Ho' when used (yes, they sell them). ;)

The weekend after Thanksgiving along with all the outside lights. I drape my crepe myrtles in colored lights and for the stalk i've painted a pvc pipe green and wrapped green lights around it. At the base of the trees i put white lights to look like snow! I also put out my collection of about 100 Santas.

There something special about your very first tree.

Mama, do you have the PVC pipe slit so it fits around the stalk?? Now I can send you some real snow from up here if you need it??

The rule is you put it up the day after Thansgiving and take it down Jan 7 (Epiphany). That's what I do

Thanksgiving Weekend, probably Sunday the 26th this year. I take it down within 2-3 days after Christmas.

My rule is I wait till December to put it up, and wait till after New Year's to take it down. I usually like to put it up maybe 2 or 3 weeks before. I don't like waiting too long because it's hard for me to get in the spirit without a tree.

My little artificial pre-lit tabletop tree will probably go up the first weekend in December. I always un-decorate on New Year's Eve. :)
