vbhoutex -- was it me? Seriously, I know I was pretty darn worried about Lili myself. Can't remember how much I posted about it or if I was very verbal at all.
All I know is that a few of us here at UTMB in Galveston were waiting....and watching...and waiting...and watching...wondering if she was going to stay on her path or turn westward towards us.
Nice posts.
Take care, all!

This has turned into a very nice discussion and that is why I stay on this board! Like you said Rob, the same post on another board will have bashing, ranting and raving. I love this board simply for this reason, that we can all discuss things and look at all angles without prejudice. Thanks for the topic Rob!

gulf, i know it would on that board cause it did have flaming. i posted the same thing i posted here and got attacked by several diff posters. i see a real jelousy of pro meteos there and people in college. im busting my rear in college to become a pro, so i can help in this life saving industry, not to argue with a bunch of people who never went to college who think they can do better than the pros.

I was considered -removed- last year on that other board and wasn't happy with it to say the least.
I have said it time and time again, but the issue comes up I feel certain posters haven't heard it... I would love to go to college to be a meteorologist, when you have problems interacting with people it doesn't make it easy going to college and even more so when their is no college to go to/you have no access of transportation to go anyway.
If only I could be a meteorologist at home after getting my degree through online meteorology courses.

Hey everyone. Been a while since I posted. It's great to have a board such as this where no one is jumping down anyone else's throat because of what they post. I left GoPBI last year because of their nonsense on there.
Here are my thoughts about -removed- and I'm not trying to offend anyone. I for one do not want a storm knocking on my door, but I do like to look at the satellite images, waper vapor images, and such to try to predict where the storm may go. As a weather "nut" I do like to watch the weather. However, I am smart enough to know better than to read messages on a message board and take what I've read to heart. I am fairly confident that most people are intelligent enough to do the same. When it comes to hurricanes, tropical storms, depressions, or any other type of severe weather, I depend on the local weather services such as NOAA weather radio or tv for important weather info. I find it hard to believe that anyone with good sense would turn to a weather message board to find out where a hurricane is going. So, my take on people I disagree with is let them wishcast all they want to because I, for one, am not going to take what they say as the gospel without researching the official weather outlets.
